Ramus at the Malton Food Lovers Festival – Saturday 28th May

mst-MFLF_RGBWe’re delighted to announce that for the second year running, Jonathan will be demonstrating, cooking and generally enthusing about the delights of fish and seafood at the 2016 Malton Food Lovers Festival.  

Such is the hunger for quick and easy recipes for healthy seafood, that Jonathan has been asked to give 3 different demonstrations to cater to everyone’s needs.

Pan Fried Sea Trout with Pancetta

Pan Fried Sea Trout with Pancetta

From Fish to Fork, Jonathan Batchelor, MD of Ramus Seafoods, will be sharing the joy of the wild sea trout in its relatively short season. He will prepare, fillet and cook a delicious dish of Sea Trout with Pancetta to demonstrate how quick and easy it is to enjoy a fabulous nutritious meal of fresh fish.
 
Malton Cookery School (12:00 – 13:00)
During the month of June, Ramus will be showcasing the delights of fresh lobster with a culinary seafood festival across Harrogate & Ilkley.  Jonathan would like to share the taste and experience of lobster with the cookery school, by offering a lobster masterclass.  This will be an opportunity for hands-on preparation and cooking, with easy canapé recipes to show how to make this fine shellfish go a little bit further.
 
Town Hall Steps (14:30 – 15:30)
A seafood presentation by Jonathan Batchelor of Ramus Seafoods, followed by a Q&A and opportunity to purchase the Ramus Cookbook FORTY which features many of the recipes that Jonathan has cooked during the day.

Set across the streets of Yorkshire’s Food Capital, Malton Food Lovers Festival is a celebration of the finest Yorkshire produce and cooking. The 2016 festival is set to be the biggest yet. Expect heaving stalls, delicious street food, talks, tastings, celebrity chef demos, cookery lessons and much much more! Enjoy craft beer and cider at the festival bar, live music at the festival party and family entertainment for all!

Guest chefs include: Rosemary Shrager, James MacKensie, Rose Prince, Steph Moon, Nigel Brown, Xochi Balfour and Yves Quemerais, Jonathan Batchelor and the Betty’s Cookery School team.
