A full English breakfast with a difference.  Instead of bacon, try making a simple fishcake full of herbs, capers and white fish which is high in protein but very low in fat.  Delicious as a weekend brunch, it’s a hugely satisfying meal packed full of flavour.

3. Kipper Kedgeree from Swallow Fish of Seahouses, Northumberland
Perfect as a weekend brunch or evening meal, this lightly curried kedgeree is full of plump oil-rich flakes of kipper, which have been smoked without any additives or colourings at the oldest smokehouse in the country up in Northumberland. Try using Steenbergs organic Fairtrade curry powder for great flavour.
