How do I order?

Orders can be placed on the website www.ramus.co.uk/fishbox. We must have your order by 9am on a Wednesday for next day delivery on a Thursday, to ensure the order is processed to your requirements.

How do I pay?

Secure payment via the website is through Paypal.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery costs £9.95 +VAT for each individual destination, regardless of how many boxes you order at the time.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to nearly all of mainland UK, excluding Northern Ireland and some areas of Northern Scotland. If you are unsure whether we will be able to deliver, please contact us prior to placing your order.

When do you deliver?

Deliveries are made on a Thursday. While we aim to delivery before lunchtime we cannot guarantee this and are unable to give specific delivery times.

What happens if I am not in to sign for the box?

You do not need to be in to sign for the delivery but our courier will not leave the package unless there are specific delivery instructions to do so. Please give instructions with your order on a safe place to leave your fish box as well as a telephone number. We are very happy to deliver to your place of work if that is more convenient. Our products will be perfectly safe for up to 48 hours.

How will my order arrive?

Your Ramus fish box is a fully insulated recyclable box with refrigerated strips to ensure the product arrives with you in perfect condition. All items inside will be vacuum packed or securely wrapped to ensure freshness, allowing you to refrigerate or freeze as you wish. We strongly recommend that you refrigerate immediately on receipt.

How should I store my fish when it arrives?

  • Fresh fish – refrigerate and eat within 3 days or freeze for up to 3-4 months.
  • Live lobsters – please do not store in water as this will kill the lobster. Store in the bottom of the fridge covered with a damp cloth. If they have expired during the journey, they are still perfectly safe to cook but we recommend that you do cook immediately on receipt and treat as with cooked lobster.
  • Live mussels & clams – remove from packaging, put on plate or bowl in fridge and cover with damp cloth. Do not immerse in water. Discard any that do not close when tapped firmly. Cook within 48 hours.
  • Previously frozen fish – the only fish in any of the boxes that may have been previously frozen are the sardines and crevettes. Please do not refreeze but refrigerate and eat within 3 days.

What do I do if I’m not entirely happy with the product?

We aim to do everything we can to ensure that your product arrives with you in perfect condition. If you are unhappy with your order you must contact us immediately upon receipt of goods.

Additional Terms & Conditions

  • Your statutory rights. Nothing contained in these terms and conditions will affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
  • Cancellation of orders. Orders can be cancelled anytime up to 12 noon on the day prior to dispatch (Tuesday). We will refund any payment you have made but reserve the right to charge £5.00 to cover the costs of handling your payment and credit.
  • Liability. Ramus Seafoods’ liability for any loss (and/or damage), whether direct or indirect, consequential or howsoever caused shall be limited either to the cost of the products or the replacement of the products.
  • Privacy Statement. We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will not pass any information onto a third party unless requested to do by Law.
  • VAT. VAT is only charged on the delivery cost. Our VAT number is 734 0090 66.
  • We reserve the right to change any details and prices on this site at any time and without prior notice. This includes these terms and conditions. We will honour any genuine order placed before these changes are made.
