Celebrate National Seafood Week at Ramus

SeafoodWeek-Logo-Artwork-CMYKIt’s o-fish-ially the start of National Seafood Week  today and Ramus Seafoods of Harrogate & Ilkley will be partnering Seafish to celebrate with a week of promotions, special offers, celebrity recipes, tastings and demonstrations.(Friday 9th – Friday 16th October)

“October is a great time of year to celebrate seafood as we have an abundance of delicious fresh fish and shellfish from UK waters, says Jonathan Batchelor, MD of Ramus.  ‘I’m really looking forward to championing the benefits of seafood and, in particular, to visiting the pupils at Bilton Grange Primary School and encouraging them to try something new!” 

Seafood week is about giving seafood the recognition it deserves and thanking the people who produce it, from the fishermen hauling in their fresh catch in all weathers, to the chefs who serve it on our table.  The message this year is ‘Every Day Eat Fish Your Way’ and highlights 8 of the most popular fish, offering Cook Me, Buy Me, Dine Me ideas for all of them.SeafoodWeek-Digital-300x250px

At Ramus we’ll be offering 15% off these 8 delicious fish (cod, haddock, plaice, mackerel, mussels, prawns, tuna & sardines), highlighting easy recipes from our cookbook FORTY, as well as introducing a few new celebrity recipes from Nathan Outlaw, Sophie Grigson and Rick Stein.
